Leaving their previous manager

The popduo Tatu are history.
Lena Katina, 18, and Yulia Volkova, 19, have now broken contact with their discussed manager Ivan Shapovalov.
- We hope that our fans will understand us, and maybe forgive us, says Lena Katina to Aftonbladet.
The six year long collaboration with the so-called scandalmanager Ivan Shapovalov is now over for the popduo Tatu. Yulia and Lena mean that they have been seriously used by Shapovalov. He has made the big money when Lena and Yulia had only received bits of the big fortune the Russian popduo brought in.

Were going to be puppets

Now Tatu tell Aftonbladet about how they were used since they were 12 or 13 years old.
- Ivan wanted us to be little dolls in school uniforms, play lesbians and agree with all the scandalous ideas that he made up during the years, says Lena Katina.

Have boyfriends

- It's not easy playing lesbian when we both have boyfriends, says Yulia Volkova.
For a long time Shapovalov has promised the popduo that they will record a new album. But instead he has been firing the most successful songwriters of the group. Now there will be no new album from Tatu - ever again.

But Shapovalov already has new plans, now that his golden calves have quit.
- I have found a new girl from Estonia, to be continued, he says to Aftonbladet.
Lena and Yulia are now trying on a career of their own.
- We want to continue together. By telling this we hope that the music world and our fans will understand us and possibly forgive us.
- We have wasted so much time on our previous manager. Now we have to start over, says Yulia.

Swedish contact

The popduo also reveals that they hope to get a Swedish manager. They don't want to mention any names, but say that they have contact with a person in Sweden that they hope will now help to get their career started.
- Our Swedish contact has a new name for us, but we don't want to reveal it yet, they say.

Offers for Lena Kiper from Tatu's new management
t.A.T.u.'s new management has suggested that Elena Kiper help work on their second album. Elena Kiper has expressed that she is unavailable to write songs for their album (at least until after Nichya's album is out), but has not refused to help create an idea, and participate in the creativity of the album. Lena has offered the concept for the second album: a manner of execution, music style, vocal sounds, emotional adjust, and has prompted them to take the first composition, and begin an embodiment of a new image.
